Roooll Tide!!

E and I attended our very FIRST home game at Bryant-Denny stadium.  This is a bucket list event for some people, a sports mecca for others and something that takes place in our town 6 weekends a year!  Alabama football.  Seriously, people, this is religion for many in the South.  Home games are crrrrrazy around here (not to mention FUN)!  We've been here for over two years now and though Dr. M has been to several games, E and I had not.  This was the very first home game of the 2013 season (three-peat?).  It was an evening game and unseasonably cool, which was awesome.  The stadium is so massive.  It's even bigger from the inside.  It's one of the largest stadiums in the US (bigger than most NFL stadiums!).  It holds more people than live in our town.  Crazy, right?!  Needless to say, it was a little overwhelming for E.  Our seats were in the 'nose-bleed' section, about 10 rows from the top (I think he felt like he was going to fall).  We had a 4-year-old-approved dinner of french fries, a giant pretzel and sour patch kids.  We managed to make it through the first half (neither one of us really knew what was going on in the game) and left at half-time.  We got home just in time for bed (for him)!  What a fun date-night with my little man!
